Introducing REJURAN®, the latest innovation in Bio Skin Healing known for its natural and regenerative approach to repair and rejuvenate the skin.
Originating in South Korea in 2014, Rejuran quickly became a popular choice in Asian countries like Korea and Singapore and is now approved in Australia since July 2023.
Rejuran is a type of injectable treatment that utilises Polynucleotides (PN) from Salmon DNA fragments (Salmon sperm). Unlike traditional hyaluronic acid fillers that add volume, Rejuran focuses on healing and improving the skin's structural integrity and elastin by promoting cellular repair and regeneration without causing inflammation.
Rejuran is primarily used for skin rejuvenation and anti-aging purposes.
It offers several benefits, including:
• Reducing fine lines and wrinkles
• Reducing appearance of pores
• Improving skin elasticity and texture
• Enhancing hydration and skin tone
• Reducing pigmentation and treating acne scars
• Boosting collagen production for thicker, healthier skin
Results can be seen as early as the first 2 weeks, however it takes 3-6 months for maximal collagen remodeling to occur.
Initial treatment for optimal results:
• Total of 3 to 4 sessions of Rejuran treatments
• 2-3 weeks between sessions.
Maintenance sessions:
• Every 6-12 months to sustain the results.
As with all procedures, there will be risks. While Rejuran is generally well-tolerated, some potential side effects include but are not limited to:
• Bruising
• Redness
• Itching
• Pain
• Nodules
• Swelling
• Delayed onset inflammation
• Undesired results
More serious risks such as infections or allergic reactions are rare but can occur, especially in individuals with allergies to salmon.
Rejuran cannot be administered if any of the following applies to you:
• Allergies to Salmon:
Rejuran is derived from salmon DNA, so anyone with a known allergy to salmon or fish products should avoid this treatment.
• Pregnant or Breastfeeding:
The safety of Rejuran for pregnant or breastfeeding women has not been established, so it is generally not recommended.
• Active Skin Infections or Inflammation:
Those with current skin infections, severe acne, or inflamed skin conditions in the treatment area should wait until these issues are resolved before undergoing Rejuran treatment.
• Individuals with Autoimmune Disorders:
Since Rejuran works by stimulating the body's natural healing processes, it may not be suitable for those with autoimmune conditions or those who are immunocompromised, as it could potentially trigger an immune response.
• Certain Medications:
Those taking blood-thinning medications or other drugs that affect the skin's healing process should consult with their healthcare provider before considering Rejuran.
These guidelines help ensure that Rejuran is used safely and effectively, providing the best possible results.
You can resume work and normal activities after the procedure.
However, in the first 24-48 hours try to:,
• Avoid exposing the area to heat, such as saunas or hot baths.
• Refrain from touching or massaging the treated area.
• Avoid active cosmeceutical products (AHAs, retinol, vitamin C, peels).
• Avoid blood thinning medications such as Aspirin and Ibuprofen for 7 days unless medically necessary.
High SPF sunscreen can help to protect the newly treated skin from sun exposure.
Please see “after care tips” to ensure best results and faster healing.
The cost of Rejuran treatments can vary depending on the extent of the treatment area.
